There have been a number of holes in one in the history of POWdom.  Few have actually been verified by individuals that were not also POW’s.  One of the individuals with two holes in one is also an avid fisherman.  Need I say more?  It is hard to imagine that there was some kind of skill involved to make these holes in one.  As we all know when it comes to golfing and POW’s the word skill does not readily hit one in the face.  Anyway, far be it for me to cast aspersions upon said aces.  As they say, even a blind squirrel finds a nut sometimes.  So here is the list of said aces.  As you you can see only one has been officially identified as being an actual ACE!  Clarification: An old invitation shows Courter’s Ace from the SaccaTomato Bee.  I stand corrected.  However, if the golf course where the hole-in-one was made no longer exists, does that mean the hole-in-one no longer exists?  This course closed shortly after this hole-in-one.  Coincidence?  Maybe, maybe not.
